Value Added Reports for Analysis of AS/A-Level and Equivalent Level 3 Qualifications

Value added reports measuring strengths and weaknesses relative to a comparative national benchmark of 'high performing' institutions are required for a range of both academic and vocational subjects being undertaken at two Halton School Sixth Forms. In addition, a value added analysis of performance for Halton residents is required to analyse 'travel to learn' patterns. The Council is looking to purchase a service that includes the collection of A-Level/AS-Level and BTEC Level 3 assessment data from schools and production of value added analysis before the start of the next academic year. Measuring performance against the 75th percentile of schools and college performance nationally is a priority. The Council is also looking to purchase value added reports for AS/A-Level examinations for residents of the authority area regardless of where examinations were undertaken. This 'residency' analysis will assist the Council's 14-19 Service with their strategic curriculum planning. The indicative budget for this service is £33,000 ex. VAT over 5 years. The proposed service must comply with the detailed service specification in the attached documents. Halton Borough Council reserves the right to award the contract on the basis of a single supplier Halton Borough Council may abort the Request for Quotation (RFQ) at any time, is not bound to accept any quotation and will not be liable under any circumstances whatsoever for the costs suppliers incur in preparing the quotation.
