Rivers Biological Monitoring 2015

Tender description

The EPA Office of Environmental Assessment undertakes biological monitoring of rivers in fulfilment of the needs of the Water Framework Directive monitoring programme (Directive 2000/60/EC). The EPA is seeking technical assistance with the undertaking of some of this river monitoring and assessment work in 2015 to supplement the EPA‟s own monitoring resources. A total of 2,808 biological river monitoring sites are due to be surveyed in the 2013 – 2015 survey cycle, of which 1,044 are due to be monitored in 2015. The Office of Environmental Assessment is using the Open procedure for this tender, which means that any interested party can submit a tender. Valid tenders submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Tenderers and received before the stated deadline will be assessed on the basis of the eligibility criteria and award criteria set out in Section 5. Tenderers are requested to review the tender document in detail and ensure that they have addressed all of the relevant requirements in their tender.
