External Evaluation of RA Education Services 2015

Tender description

Royal Armouries (RA) is seeking specialist services to develop and deliver an evaluation of the organisation’s formal education programme (early years to adult learning) and in particular of the response to the revised National Curriculum at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds and at Fort Nelson in Hampshire. The research exercise will evaluate: • the new education programme, its composition, approach and content at both sites; • its appeal and usefulness to its target audiences; • the RA’s education service operation in respect of the new offer (bookings, facilities, logistics of the visit); • the marketing and promotion of the education offer at each site; • the school visit experience at each site, from a group’s arrival until its departure; • attitudes to organising educational group visits to our sites amongst teachers, including location, prices, services & facilities, etc. In addition, the awarded contractor will be invited to make recommendations in respect of the potential of the study of arms and armour within the National Curriculum 2014 (NC14) and in expanding the service’s reach in Yorkshire and Hampshire.
