TD0956 - The provision of two youth worker posts to support the East Midlands Resettlement Consortium

Tenders are invited for the supply of two youth worker posts to support the East Midlands Resettlement Consortium. The contract is for two youth worker posts, to support young people immediately before and after release from custody, to work alongside YOT staff and staff in the secure estate, to support young people and to help them access support services. The two youth workers will need to each have a minimum of two years post qualifying experience. They will need to have knowledge of the youth justice system, both of the work of secure establishments and of Youth Offending Teams. A key requirement is the ability to engage with young people and to establish strong appropriate relationships to support, motivate and challenge young people both whilst they are in custody and on their return to the community. The initial contract period is for one year, the contract is estimated to commence 01.10.2015 and expire 30.09.2016. There will be an option to extend the contract for a further year, subject to satisfactory performance and business need. The maximum contract period is two years.
