Befriending and Community Engagement

Tender description

This is an exciting opportunity to pilot a Befriending and Community Engagement service for Older People within the Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. We want to increase the opportunities available for our older people and increase their socialisation and involvement in the community. This will enable our residents to improve their mental and physical wellbeing. We expect the support to be provided by a bank of volunteers, undertaking home visits and phone calls, as well as the sourcing of some group activities. Although there are some basic elements that we require, we welcome any innovative bids. The information gained from the pilot project will be used to help determine our future commissioning intentions for low-level support services for older people.
