Programme level evaluation of the Cultural Destinations programme

Tender description

We require an external evaluator to support a programme-level evaluation of the Cultural Destinations programme. Each Cultural Destinations area is required to undertake their own local evaluation of work towards the four aims of the programme. However we have not so far given any specific guidance to standardise evaluations across the programme. We recognise the need for flexibility at the grant level so that evaluations can be useful and used in the local context, but this presents a challenge to a national-level programme evaluation which will require a certain degree of consistency across the evaluations to allow a national picture to be drawn. Our aim in commissioning this evaluation support is to ensure that evaluations being undertaken in each grant area can be brought together to provide evidence at programme-level of Cultural Destinations’ contribution overall to its aims. This commission includes some primary research across the ten areas and the synthesis of evidence into a short interim report and a final report
