Tender description

Coastal Protection Works at Cloughaninchy, Quilty, Co Clare and Establishment of Multiple Operator Framework Agreement for Coastal and Inland Storm / Flooding Remediation Programme Clare County Council. Following the severe winter storm events of late 2013 and early 2014 extensive damage was caused to flood defenses, coastal protection systems and the like on the County Clare coastline. While some temporary remedial works have been implemented at most affected sites further permanent works are required in order to adequately protect the County coastline into the future. Clare County Council now wishes to establish a Multiple Operator Framework Agreement for Engineering Consultants who will provide professional design related services for the Coastal and Inland Storm / Flooding Remediation Programme ("the Framework Agreement"). Clare County Council intends to use a single stage, open competition for the creation of the Framework Agreement. Consultants will be required to provide full engineering consultancy services on projects forming part of the Framework. Applicants are required to complete the response to this Suitability Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ). In addition Applicants are being requested to submit a tender in accordance with the requirements of the separate Instructions to Tenderers and the Tender & Schedule documents for an initial 'Call-off-Contract' comprising the construction of approximately 2.2km of coastal protection centred around rock armour construction and providing protection for residential properties and the local public road network at Cloughaninchy, Quilty, Co Clare.
