Bed Based Intermediate Care Services

The following is a PIN notice only and is being placed to alert providers of a potential up-coming procurement exercise. Bracknell Forest Council and Bracknell and Ascot CCG (“The Commissioners”) are working to jointly commission and integrate bed based intermediate care services to ensure that health and social care needs of individuals in the catchment area are assessed and met within a holistic approach. The commissioners’ intention is to offer General Practitioner (“GP”) and Nursing support elements for the Bed Based Intermediate Care Service (which is currently based at the Bridgewell Centre), as two lots with a total contract value - divided between the two services - of approximately £200,000. The intention is to give providers the opportunity to bid for one or both of the services. The planned in-service implementation date is late Summer 2016. To gauge market interest and gather provider feedback, the Commissioners intend to hold an industry briefing event on Monday 10th August 2015 to outline their plans for commissioning the GP and Nursing support contracts.
