GB-Braintree: Affordable Housing Viability Study

Notice of award. Braintree District Council is seeking a consultant to undertake an Affordable Housing Viability Study and update or replace its tool kit to be used to determine affordable housing viability. This document will be used as evidence for the production of new policies on affordable housing in a new Local Plan. This policy will cover issues such as when affordable housing contributions should be sought, at what percentage and whether different affordable housing thresholds should be sought in different areas based on local housing market conditions. The thresholds should take into account viability. Consultants will also be expected to update or replace the existing Housing Viability Appraisal Tool Kit used by the Council for determining the viability of housing schemes for the purpose of calculating appropriate affordable housing provision.
