Tender description

The site in Hemel Hempstead was previously used as offices with associated parking and external areas. Dacorum Borough Council acquired Able House and are in the process of demolishing the existing offices leaving the site on Figtree Hill ready for a residential development. The decision to approve the development plans for Able House was made in 2014. The development team have since been working with Oxford Architects to design a scheme that can be developed at the site. Planning was granted for the development of 14 affordable homes in June 2015 subject to the conditions as referred to in the Planning Permission (Appendix D to the Employers Requirements). The proposed tender is for the construction of a four storey development (with one level being a basement level) consisting of 10 Nr. 1 bedroom 2 person flats and 4 Nr. 2 bedroom 3 person flats. The Council will be developing the site as a 100% affordable rented housing scheme
