<b>The Opportunity</b> This is a contract to supply 31 electronic real time information displays to the Intelligent Transport Systems Team within the Growth, Environment and Transport Directorate. There is a requirement mains powered, shelter mounted displays to be purchased as a direct replacement for the existing equipment installed on the Fastrack B route in Dartford, Kent. This is as a result of a successful Local Sustainable Transport Fund (LSTF) bid which seeks to deliver a fully integrated transport network to promote sustainable transport as a real alternative to the private car. <b>Background</b> Kent County Council (the council) is the largest county council in England covering an area of 3,500 square kilometres. It has an annual expenditure of over £900m on goods and services and a population of 1.3m. The Council provides a wide range of personal and strategic services on behalf of its residents, operating in partnership with 12 district councils and 289 parish/town councils.
