Catering and Associated Services at Seacombe Ferry Terminal and on Mersey Ferries Vessels

Provision of Catering Services on Board Mersey Ferries Vessels and at Seacombe Ferry Terminal November 2015 - November 2020 (Estimated) Merseytravel requires an innovative, flexible, cost-effective and professional quality catering service on board two Mersey Ferries vessels and at the Mersey Ferries Terminal at Victoria Place, Seacombe, Wirral, CH44 6QY. The requirement on board the vessels is for: a) Daily snacks and beverages on the running boat; b) Hot and cold snacks and beverages on Manchester Ship Canal cruises, Special cruises and occasional vessels chartered to meet customer requirements; c) Bar service, as required, on any of the above. The requirement at Seacombe is for hot and cold meals, snacks and beverages during the operating hours of the Mersey Ferries. (There may also be a requirement for the operation of a children's play area at Seacombe Ferry Terminal as part of the cafeteria, subject to Merseytravel's strategy development.) The successful tenderer will enter into a concession agreement for a period of five years. Merseytravel believes that the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (as amended) will apply to this contract. We recommend that bidders seek their own legal advice.
