Wheelchair Service Provision within Lincolnshire (OJEU Notice ref - 2014/S 234-4

Tender description

Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (GEM CSU), acting on behalf of the South West Lincolnshire clinical commissioning group (SWL CCG) wish to establish a single Provider contract for the provisions of NHS Wheelchair Services for patients within the entire Lincolnshire County. The South West Lincolnshire CCG (SWL CCG) is responsible for commissioning Wheelchair Services on behalf of all other Lincolnshire based Clinical Commissioning Groups. There are in total 4 CCGs within Lincoln who serve NHS patients within the entire Lincolnshire County. They are: 1. NHS Lincolnshire East Clinical Commissioning Group (LE CCG) 2. NHS Lincolnshire West Clinical Commissioning Group (LW CCG) 3. NHS South West Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group (SWL CCG) 4. NHS South Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group (SL CCG) The key objectives of the Procurement are: • To deliver a service with the ability to meet access requirements for the wheelchair patients within Lincolnshire • To deliver a service that meets or exceeds the national waiting time targets • To ensure that the service meets the clinical, lifestyle and safety needs of patients in order to enhance quality of life • To deliver the service within the identified budget, ensuring the release of funds from operational costs to product provision Scope of Service The scope of service has been developed by SWL CCG, based on the needs of the population of Lincolnshire County. The service will incorporate the following key components: • Referral • Assessment • Prescription • Purchase/Provision of Equipment • Equality Delivery and Provision of Training • Repair • Re-Assessment • Hand-back Arrangements For further details please see the full Invitation To Tender document
