Tender description

The purpose of the Service is to enable residents of Knowsley MBC to improve the quality of their life by reducing avoidable sight loss, sight deterioration and improving support and services for blind and partially sighted people. The Service should assist the service users to lead an independent, inclusive and fulfilling life, help them maintain their health and promote and enhance effective personal support networks. The Service should support the service user to take greater control of their life and allow them to remain as independent as possible within their own home, their community and within their chosen way of life. The Service User must be at the centre of all decisions about where they will live and how they are supported. The Contractor should provide Services in such a way that the Service User is able to feel secure, confident and included in all decisions regarding the service provided to them.
