Sproughton Road Master planning - Provision of Professional Services

Ipswich Borough Council (IBC) wishes to appoint a single lead consultant to work with its officers , in order to deliver a Masterplan for the successful re-development of the Sproughton Road site. The site concerned lies adjacent to the boundary of Ipswich Borough but within Babergh District. The site is owned by IBC. Ipswich Borough Council is not the planning authority for this site. IBC wishes to work with the officers of Babergh Council in delivering a mutually agreed successful re-development of this site, whilst achieving IBC’s stated outcomes and objectives for the site. This is seen as an opportunity for both Councils to achieve their ambitions for the re-development of this site. The site has been bought as an employment site and whilst other uses may be acceptable the intention is for the site to be re-developed, subject to viability considerations, as an employment led scheme. The Project: To develop a masterplan for the re-development of the Sproughton Road site, including advising on a development and disposal strategy that will protect the IBC's interests in the long term and maximise the beneficial return on IBC's investment. Services required: It is anticipated that the project will require the involvement of a multi-disciplinary team, including (but not exclusively or limited to): The Consultant Masterplanner will be appointed in December 2015 to deliver a masterplan ,with a submission date to the IBC Executive in September 2016.
