Tender description

To build on the introduction given in the Safety Hazards 1 course and give new inspectors a practical introduction to lifting plant and lifting accessories commonly used to handle loads in industrial and services environments. Accompanying this they will be provided with the appropriate knowledge and understanding of legislation, plant/equipment and standards which will allow the inspectors to: -identify and deal with safety issues relating to lifting operations, plant and lifting accessories at proactive visits to workplaces using such equipment; -competently and effectively deal with lifting operations, plant and lifting accessories related reactive work: and -act as "intelligent customers" when seeking SG or HSL support for operational queries or forensic investigations.
