Standard Gases for AURN and LAQMN

Tender description

The Authority is looking for a supplier to manage the supply of Standard Gases to the Automatic Urban and Rural Air Quality Monitoring Network (AURN) and the Automatic London Air Quality Monitoring Network (ALN). The network provides national monitoring arrangements including those areas covered by Scottish Government, Welsh Government and Department of the Environment in Northern Ireland, collectively known as the Devolved Administrations. However, the contract is let by Defra on behalf of Central Government and the Devolved Administrations. The primary objective of this contract is to supply high quality standard gases to the whole AURN network which meet national standards and are traceable. This will ensure that data collected on the networks and made available to the public are robust and that data reported to the Commission meet the legal obligations of the Directives.
