Sandwell MBC is currently looking for a suitable candidate for the role of Research & Intelligence Specialist. The role is G grade and will be based at Jack Judge House, Halesowen Street, Oldbury, B69 9EN. We are looking for the candidate to start as soon as possible until 30th November 2015. The Skills or qualifications/experience that is essential / desirable for the role • Educated to post graduate level in a relevant numerate/health subject (E) • Experience of public health and health related information creation and analysis (E) • Experience of providing analysis for initiatives such as JSNA (E) • Knowledge of data sources, security and information governance issues (E) • Excellent report writing and presentation skills (E) • The ability to grasp complex concepts (E) • A good innovative and analytical approach to problem solving (E) • The post holder will require good analytical skills (E) • Strong numerical skills, understanding of different analytical techniques, interpretation and manipulation of data (E) • IT literacy including working knowledge of Word, Excel, SQL and PowerPoint (E) • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in disseminating information via written reports and presentations to a wide range of audiences in terms of both size and composition (E) • Experience project based working (E) • Excellent organisational skills, and ability to manage own time effectively to prioritise workloads within timescales and meet deadlines (E) We require the following for your application:- CV - no date gaps References - of which one must be your current employer Please submit your CV and 2 references via the Intend Supplier portal by no later than Thursday 9th July at 5:00pm.
