Tender description

The City of Lincoln Council is establishing a public sector hub, initially with the DWP/Job Centre Plus, which will result in partner organisations co-locating principally, but not exclusively, at the Council’s main office namely City Hall. The primary functions of the security service contract are to manage the safety and security of public areas within its building(s) including any adjacent car parks and to provide a proactive presence in all public facing areas including a providing a positive initial reception to clients, directional guidance and information on policies relating to no smoking and no drinking of alcohol on the Council premises. The service will be required to be operational no later than the 26th October 2015 therefore it is proposed that award is made in September to allow sufficient for time for staff recruitment and training to take place. However, the Council will give the successful contractor a minimum of four weeks notice should this date require bringing forward.
