Care for Older People 65+ - New Market Position Statement

Glou cestershire County Council has produced its first Market Position Statement (MPS) for the care of older people, which sets out our commissioning intentions for the care of older people aged 65+. The MPS has been developed following extensive public engagement about the council's approach to supporting older people. This is set out in the Growing Older in Gloucestershire policy. The MPS is designed to translate this policy into information and analysis for providers of older people's care and support services in Gloucestershire. It contains information about: · Gloucestershire's current and predicted future demographics and services · The Council's commissioning aims for the care of older people · The Council's vision for future services and how they might adapt to changing needs for care and support. It is intended to act as a starting point for discussions between the local authority and those who provide services.
