Tender Reference: 671FXPlus Digital Media Streaming Background Falmouth ExeterPlus have a requirement for Digital Media Services for their Library based on the Penryn campus in Cornwall. •We have approximately 6,000 high quality video streaming programmes consisting of television broadcasts stored on a Windows server as WMV files. (Windows Media File) •We are licensed to record broadcasts for educational use. We carry this out using online software and make the recordings available to our students, staff and researchers. •The content is accessed and shown within our library catalogue via a secure log-in. Rationale •We will consider both on premise and hosted solutions but depending on system requirements our preference would be for a hosted solution. for the storage and delivery of high quality video recordings • We want to provide students, staff and researchers with improved access to secure high quality streaming video resources via the Library Catalogue. • We want the streaming video to be available via multiple devices from anywhere to our users.
