Tender description

The University of Sheffield has awarded a tender on behalf of the Department of Mechanical Engineering for a range of workshop equipment and machine tools (listed below). The equipment will be installed in a dedicated machine shop on the first floor of our new Diamond Building. The machines will predominantly be used for teaching purposes, including basic workshop skills training, machining amd project work. They will also be used by technicians to produce test samples, student project components and for experimental equipment build and repair. This tender will be divided into ten (10) Lots: Lot 1- 6x Metal Cutting Lathes Lot 2- 2x Milling Machines Lot 3- 4x Floor Standing Pillar Drills Lot 4- 1x Horizontal Bandsaw Lot 5- 2x Vertical Bandsaw Lot 6- 1x Box Pan and Brake Bender Lot 7- 1x Small Press Lot 8- 1x Linisher Lot 9- 1x Bench Grinder Lot 10- 1x Guillotine
