BIS’ Consumer and Competition Directorate need to recruit up to 6 Ordinary Members to the CAT (Competition Appeal Tribunal) by early December 2015 in order for the CAT to fulfil its new duties under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to hear private actions. Due to the specialist nature of the ordinary member posts, which are judiciary in function, there is a need to secure external search consultants for this campaign to ensure a strong field of candidates selected on merit to respond to extra workload. Important information From the 2nd April 2014 the Government is introducing its new Government Security Classifications (GSC) classification scheme to replace the current Government Protective Marking Scheme (GPMS). A key aspect of this is the reduction in the number of security classifications used. All potential suppliers should make themselves aware of the changes as it may impact on this Requirement.
