Tender description

The Department for Transport (DfT) is seeking to award a contract for the provision of two towed flight recorder underwater locator beacon detection systems, consisting of an Acquisition and Recording system and a Signal Processing system. The systems will be used to assist the Air Accidents Investigations Branch (AAIB) in the underwater searching and localisation of aircraft flight recorders following a crash in water.
