Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) Services for Yorkshire and Humberside

This service specification details the Commissioners requirements for the Provider to deliver a Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) by delivering a high quality and cost effective service which must embrace a concept of integrated, specialist clinical/forensic interventions and a range of assessment and support services through defined care pathways. This specification is for the delivery of a SARC service for adults and young people, aged 16 years and above, where decided to be clinically appropriate. The service must be flexible, easily accessible and victim centred, the SARC will play a vital role in meeting the needs of those adults and young people who have difficulty engaging with services. It is essential that there is effective integrated working between the SARC and the paediatric forensic provision to ensure the most appropriate response is given. The provider is required to deliver the SARC service across the geographical four Police force areas of Humberside, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire
