The services are for the transportation of Municipal Solid Waste from the Authority's Waste Transfer Station currently based at its Torr Quarry site. This entails the provision of a service transferring Municipal Solid Waste to Approved Delivery Sites both within and outside Devon County boundaries. During the life of the Contract, the Authority may add an additional Waste Transfer Station within its district. If this happens, then the Authority would expect to renegotiate its Contract price. The Contractor shall at all times perform the Services in accordance with this Specification. During the evaluation process Applicants shall demonstrate how they intend to meet the Specification requirements. For the duration of the Contract, the Contractor will be required to be flexible to meet the needs of the Authority. This flexibility may either be variations to the original service provisions or by performing additional services provided they are reasonable and fall within the overall scope of what the Contractor would reasonably be expected to be capable of delivering. The Authority seeks a fully costed and transparent Contract price per tonne to deliver Municipal Solid Waste to Approved Delivery Sites. The Contract will commence on 3 August 2015 for an initial twenty four (24) month period with the Authority's option to extend for two six (6) month periods up to a maximum Contract period of three (3) years.
