Tender description

Portsmouth City Council 'the Council' is inviting quotations from suitably qualified post -19 learning providers to deliver a programme of community learning opportunities to residents of Portsmouth. Predominantly funded by the Skills Funding Agency (an agency of the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills), Portsmouth City Council's Community Learning Service (CLS) seeks to provide a high quality community learning programme for adults (aged 19+) which meets local need. The programme focusses on widening participation, developing communities, improving health and well-being, increasing skills and supporting personal progression. The Community Learning Service does this through a combination of directly delivered provision and sub-contracted provision, a model it seeks to continue. This Quotation exercise seeks to secure suitably experienced and competent providers of adult learning (post-19) to contract with the Council's CLS. The main headings under which work will be required are: the development, delivery and evaluation of post-19 Community Learning programmes. The Council is targeting to have awarded the contract by 15th July 2015 with a subsequent commencement date of 3rd August 2015.
