REVIEW OF THE ONR OPERATING MODEL

Tender description

The Office for Nuclear Regulation is seeking: (a) to review its current arrangements for managing the deployment of people between different parts of the business (its operating model) in order to ensure that the model is fit for purpose to deliver its mission; and (b) to implement changes to the current operating model where these would achieve better outcomes in relation to the ONR's overall strategy, particularly in delivering better efficiency and effectiveness. 2. The ONR strategy for 2015-2020 and beyond requires ONR to be an exemplary regulator that inspires respect, trust and confidence. It will achieve that by focusing on three strategic themes, the second of which makes clear the importance of ONR’s people in delivering the strategy. This recognises that the organisation needs to be underpinned by a stable, sustainable, well‐resourced, competent, flexible and accountable team of people who, inter alia, maintain public trust by demonstrating responsibility and accountability in the use of public money and achieve value for money. The efficiency and effectiveness of the operating model is fundamental to the achievement of these outcomes.
