Provision of Strategic Environmental Assessment of the Transport Strategy for the Greater Dublin Area 2015-2035

Tender description

The National Transport Authority (“the Authority”) seeks submissions from suitable consultants to carry out certain tasks related to Strategic Environmental Assessment and Appropriate Assessment of the Transport Strategy for the Greater Dublin Area (GDA) 2015-2035, in accordance with the requirements of Directive 2001/42/EC of the European Parliament and Council of 27th June 2001 on the assessment of the effects of certain plans and programmes on the environment (known as the SEA Directive) and Directive 92/43/EEC, known as the Habitats Directive. The Authority has undertaken both SEA and AA of a number of regional-scale transport plans for the GDA in the past and will make use of this work in the assessment of the new transport strategy, where appropriate. As such, the Authority does not require the standard set of tasks normally associated with SEA and AA, rather an update of work done in the past and its application to the new strategy. To this end, the Authority is seeking tenders based on daily rates.
