Tender description

The University of Nottingham wishes to enter into a Framework Agreement with several suppliers over a number of Lots as listed below.  For the procurement to be considered successful it must:- • Comply with all the relevant legal standards • Answer the questions fully and not refer to website links etc. • Provide a comprehensive understanding of requirements • Pass all Critical questions (PASS/FAIL) • Be Financially stable • Be able to support e- market place systems, initially Sciquest and Science Warehouse but must be adaptable for future or alternative e- market place systems. • Accept Purchase Orders and Purchase Cards • Have a Sustainable Supply Chain • Have fixed pricing/fixed percentage discounts for one year for both Core and Non-core Items from the Commencement Date of the Agreement • Have Free Delivery for all items – core and non-core – all additional costs must be included in the price per item • Offer next day delivery for the majority of items • Provision of requested Management Information The Framework Agreement will consist of 22 Lots (some sub Lots) covering the supply of Laboratory Consumables and Chemicals as per the below. The annual spend per Lot detailed below is a minimum expected spend. • Lot 1 – Fine Chemicals * £86,485 • Lot 2 – General Chemicals * £79,371 • Lot 3 – Biosciences Chemicals General * £506,654 • Lot 3A – Molecular Biology Chemicals * £334,658 • Lot 3B – Tissue Culture Chemicals * £340,767 • Lot 4 – Radiochemicals * £31,500 • Lot 5 – Solvent Chemicals £240,537 • Lot 6 – Consumables General £346,862 • Lot 7 – Biosciences General £190,965 • Lot 8 – PPE & Safety £173,226 • Lot 9 – Laboratory Cleaning Products £101,453 • Lot 10 – Pipettes & Tips £529,764 • Lot 10A – Pipette Servicing & Spares £19,200 • Lot 11 – Ground Glass Joint Chemical Operators £30,858 • Lot 12 – Glassware £167,625 • Lot 13 – Plastics General £70,041 • Lot 14 – Biosciences Plastics General * £226,914 • Lot 14A – Molecular Biology Plastics * £310,346 • Lot 14B – Tissue Culture Plastics * £98,278 • Lot 15 – Oligos & Primers £86,435 • Lot 16 - DNA Sequencing £146,585 • Lot 17 – Stores N/A There will be a maximum of 5 to 8 (*) suppliers dependent on the Lot, but only suppliers who meet the minimum criteria will be awarded the contract. A supplier can bid for one or more than one Lot. Each Lot will be assessed individually with common scores for some of the Evaluation Categories. The estimated total spend for Laboratory consumables and chemicals is £20 million per annum. Being part of a Framework Agreement offers no guarantees on the total value of the contract and Framework suppliers will not be guaranteed any percentage of the available spend.
