Reading List Management System

Tender description

NUI Galway would like to invite tenders for the supply of a Reading List Management System, which will facilitate the creation and maintenance of course reading lists by academic staff, will improve the accessibility of reading requirements to students and will facilitate the sharing of reading list information with the library. It is intended that the Reading List Management System selected will facilitate and improve information flows between academic staff, the library and students about required or suggested reading material and the availability of that material via the library. It is expected that the Reading List Management System will provide sufficient integration with existing systems so as to automate functions as much as possible and reduce the manual processing of reading lists by library staff. The implementation and ongoing running of the Reading List Management System will be managed by the NUI Galway Library, however it is envisaged that the system will be used by all academic schools and units of the University. The University of Limerick (UL), Dublin City University (DCU) and Trinity College Dublin (TCD) are interested parties in this procurement process however they will define their own requirements as and when their need for a Reader List Management System arises.
