Provision of GP Services: Cressex Health Centre

Tender description

NHS England Thames Valley Area Team carried out an exercise to identify a provider for a GP Surgery on an APMS Contract, initially on a 5 year term. NHS England Thames Valley Area Team sought expressions of interest from suitable qualified and interested providers with an ability to deliver a GP Surgery service across 2 sites. The practice has a current list size of 8,200 patients and is provided from the current main surgery premises, Cressex Health Centre, Coronation Road, Cressex Business Park, High Wycombe and its branch surgery at Lynton House, London Road, High Wycombe. The identified provider will have the option to continue to provide services from these premises although NHS England will ask the provider to lead on a public consultation about the future of the branch surgery starting within the first year of the contract; interested providers should note the premise is not part of the NHS estate. NHS England was looking for a modern, patient-centred model that is user friendly and culturally sensitive and encompasses all of the national and local public health targets. The model will need to include provision of the following: • Essential Services • All Additional Services • Opening hours and service delivery from 8am – 6.30pm Monday to Friday (except statutory bank and public holidays). The contract will be for 5 years with the option to extend for an additional 2 years. The expected Service commencement date is from 01 July 2015 It is envisaged that TUPE will apply to the contract.
