TD0878 Delivery of Step Up to Social Work Programme

Tender description

The Step up to Social Work programme is funded by the Department for Education (DfE) with the intention of raising the standard of social workers who work in childrens statutory services. The programme recruits high calibre candidates who have a 2(i) degree and have had experience of working in childcare. The programme is managed by regional partnerships and the East Midlands partnership currently consists of the following local authorities:- Derby City Lead Authority- Northamptonshire- Nottinghamshire- Nottingham City- Leicester City- Leicestershire- LincolnshireThe DfE have announced that they will fund a cohort 4 of the Step up to Social Work programme and Derby City Council, on behalf of the East Midlands Regional Partnership, is looking to contract a Higher Education Institution to work with the East Midlands Regional Partnership to deliver and quality assure a Cohort 4 Step up to Social Work Programme in the East Midlands Region.The contract will commence in March 2015 and will end when all students in Cohort 4 have completed the course.
