Tender description
The supply of two forklifts which will be used with Weighbridge Test Units comprising a tractor unit and trailer 10,950 mm in length, that at times will operate in difficult off-road conditions with limited access. The GVW of the Test Unit is 44 tonnes. Two Moffett M8 25.3N will be offered in part exchange. The forklift will be used to load and unload 24 X 1 tonne of Cast Iron weights (see Appendix 1 for details), two at a time, making a normal operating load of 2 tonnes, which are placed on weighbridge deck for the purpose of testing. During the testing process the weights are moved several times and on conclusion are re- loaded onto the trailer.
