CONTRACT SPECIFICATION Project Manager – Innovation & Development Programmes Reporting To: Head of Innovation & Development Programmes Location: Design & Crafts Council of Ireland (DCCoI), Castle Yard, Kilkenny and Dublin Duration: 300 days 2. OBJECTIVE OF INVITATION TO TENDER The Design & Crafts Council of Ireland wish to contract a dynamic project manager to deliver a number of projects in 2014 and 2015 across the various areas of the Innovation and Development Programmes team. This will include development of the following projects in close liaison with the Head of Innovation and Development Programmes: • Innovation and design led projects • European Initiatives – Innocrafts, Leonardo and applications for EU projects from 2015 • Partnership programmes • Irish Design 2015 initiatives 3. SPECIFIC TASKS • Management of key innovation projects and programmes to include EU • projects, Irish Design 2015 initiatives, partnership projects and innovation and design led programmes. • Ability to manage and devise action plans and workflows to ensure development and timely delivery of key strategic programmes including an ability to evaluate, adapt and improve initiatives as necessary. • Ability to engage with and knowledge of the design and craft sector. • Have strong organisational skills and experience of logistics and planning in the development of large-scale projects and events. • Manage and deliver projects to agreed timelines and within budget. • Prepare regular progress updates for DCCoI based on agreed targets. • Communicate and animate interest in the programme at local, national and international levels. • Engage with strategic partners to ensure a cohesive and structured approach to project development.
