NSAI - External Service Delivery Model for Automotive Approvals Service

NSAI is the approval authority for a number of schemes which enhance the safety and environmental aspects of vehicles on the road in Ireland and in Europe. The service is currently resourced by a combination of NSAI staff and a graduate program. In carrying out its functions in relation to this legislation, NSAI has a Market and Regulatory Support Division comprising of a small number of Certification Officers plus administrative and managerial support. To augment the resources of the existing Market and Regulatory Support Division, NSAI proposes to engage a service provider to provide: • Persons to carry out Automotive product and system evaluations. • A person or persons to support the Authority’s administration in support of the Automotive existing administrative arrangements when necessary The expected term of the contract will be two years with an option to extend for up to a further two years at the sole discretion of the Authority.
