Leighton House Museum events catering public tender advertisement Invitation to Tender – November 2014 The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced organisations for the provision of Events Catering Services at Leighton House Museum situated in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The Council (RBKC), as the Contacting Authority, intends to carry out an Open Procedure to award the contract to multiple providers on behalf of the following Participating Council owned venue: • Leighton House Museum Up to six (6) selected providers will be appointed to an Approved List for the duration of upto five (5) years, commencing in January 2015. The Agreement will be awarded initially for 2 years with the ability to extend for a further 3 years (one year at a time) subject to satisfactory performance against agreed Key Performance Indicators and subject to Terms and Conditions of the contract. Tenderers must be rated as not higher than average risk of financial failure. The providers appointed to the Approved List will deliver Event Catering to support events held at Leighton House Museum. The Council is seeking to meet the following objectives: • Produce a unified and flexible arrangement for the commissioning of Events Catering services. • Have agreements with parties of interest to promote Leighton House as an events venue. • Embed agreed Leighton House service principles in service delivery to improve quality and outcomes of client visits. • Ensure that high standards are consistently applied to Leighton House Events services. • Have an agreed list of caterers who are capable of working within the confines and fragility of the museum building. The successful Tenderers will be paid per event and provide the council with a 10% commission fee from the food, beverage and staffing costs taken for an event at Leighton House.
