Direct Payment Accounts for Citizens

Tender description

Nottingham City Council (NCC) wishes to invite tenders for the supply of pre-paid payment card accounts, (accompanied by an online user portal, and a telephone helpline) which enables citizens where practicable to self-manage their payments. This will be for a variety of functions, including but not limited to: Direct payments Personal and health budgets Emergency and crisis payments Court of protection payments Citizens with no access to high street bank accounts Citizens who have no recourse to public funds Parents accessing Special Educational Need service provision funds Fostering services Staff expenses and payments The Provider must offer the account holder an experience which is the same as a standard UK bank account, both for card/account usage, including user support such as telephone and online facilities,. It will, however, not include the use of cheques or overdraft facilities.
