Tender description

King’s has a significant installed base of network cabling, supporting data networking, telephony, and building management. King’s is a dynamic institution and there are frequent moves of people, refurbishment of offices and new buildings. This means that cabling must also change to continue to provide services as required. Historically, King’s has used several cabling installation companies to assist in doing this, of varying size and capability. There have been numerous quality and contractual issues with this approach over time, and to address those issues, a Proof of Concept (PoC) has been run for the six month period from October 2014. The PoC is scheduled to complete in April, and this RFQ is for a long-term contract incorporating the lessons learned from the PoC.
