Tender description

Wigan Council are in the process of implementing a masterplan for Haigh Hall and Country Park to regenerate the site through private and public sector investment. The masterplan aims to transform the existing facilities and create a high profile regional visitor attraction. A rebrand of the site to 'Haigh Woodland Park' is proposed to acknowledge the importance of the woodlands that form a major part of the site. This tender opportunity relates to the supply and installation of car parking management technology to replace the existing pay and display ticket machines and to an accompanying operational support package. Following selection of a contractor detailed design work will be required in relation to the supply and installation component of the tender to integrate the car park management technology with the design development underway for a wider infrastructure project on the same site. The car park technology solution should be based on a number of principles and consider a range of site specific delivery parameters, which are detailed within the Project Brief document. Further details of the wider infrastructure project are also provided within the Project Brief document available within The Chest. Following selection of the preferred contractor the intention is to execute two contracts, the first contract covering the supply and installation of the car park technology equipment and the second covering the operational support package. The contract period for the supply and installation contract is envisaged to be 1st September 2015 to 22nd January 2016 whilst the operational support contract is envisaged to run for a period of twenty four months from 1st September 2015 to 31st August 2017. The closing date of Friday 5th June 2015 at 17:00 represents the deadline for the submission of final tenders.
