TWENTY FOUR HOUR SUPPORTED LIVING or RESIDENTIAL SERVICE FOR AN INDIVIDUAL WITH COMPLEX NEEDS IN STAFFORDSHIRE.

Tender description

The Council is looking to the marketplace, for a Provider able to deliver a new service to provide a 24 hour supported living service or residential care for one adult with complex needs. Staffordshire County Council and Staffordshire and Surrounds Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) wish to contract with a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to deliver an innovative and personalised service which meets the assessed needs of an Individual with an autistic spectrum condition and complex behaviours that physically challenge. Alternatively, accessing the service via Direct Payments may be considered as an alternative option. The Council is looking for a supporting living Provider or a residential provider who can meet the following criteria 1. Has registration either as an Approved Domiciliary Provider or a Residential Provider with the Care Quality Commission. 2. Provider MUST be able to secure appropriate accommodation in the form of a robust re-enforced self-contained unit with accommodation for staffing requirements, with robust fixtures and fittings, a large living room area and access to a communal area. Accommodation must be available between the 1st September 2015 and no later than the 1st December 2015 3. Can provide an autism specialist service with a minimum of 3 years’ experience and a proven track record of effectively supporting people with an autistic spectrum condition and behaviours that physically challenge. 4. Can demonstrate the delivery of a high quality, safe service for this vulnerable client who has been prioritised following the Winterbourne Serious Care Review. 5. Location to be within a 90 minute drive (via public transport) of Tamworth The duration of the contract: will be 3 years + 1 year optional extension period It is estimated that the Contract will commence by September 2015.
