To provide targeted assistance over a 5 year period to help Nigeria’s champions of change implement economic and social policies that lead to poverty reduction, enabling HMG to back reform through: • Backing key economic and public sector reformers in Nigeria with technical support • Conducting research and studies that can be used to influence and shape Nigeria’s economic reform agenda. • Initiating explorative studies for potential complimentary DFID studies. The Impact of PDF phase 2 is that the Nigerian Government implements policies that lead to poverty reduction. The Outcome is that Nigeria’s ‘champions of change’ make increased use of capacity and evidence to enable them to pursue vital economic and social reform.
