Provision of embedded technical support on radioactive waste, spent fuel and decommissioning to support new build licencing

Tender description

ONR is seeking to engage a member of staff, on a full-time basis, from one of the contractors appointed to Lot 15 of its technical support framework agreement for the duration of Step 3 of the UKABWR GDA and the majority of Step 4. At present it is anticipated that the engagement will last until July 2017, although this is subject to a review of the resource requirement at the end of Step 3 of the process. The person engaged will work as an integral member of the assessment team and it is expected that they will spend an appropriate amount of time working at ONR’s Redgrave Court office in Bootle. The overall objective of this work is to provide embedded technical support to ONR, during Steps 3 and Step 4 of UK ABWR GDA and to support other ONR new build licencing projects, for example, Wylfa Newydd licence application, Hinkley Point C’s permissioning, Westinghouse’s AP1000 GDA close-out phase of GDA, Moorside licence application etc.
