Tender description

Re-use services play a key role in sustainable waste management and a number of environmental, socioeconomic, financial and legal reasons exist that make these services an integral part of any waste strategy. The Council is seeking a Provider to offer a re-use collection to Hackney residents, excluding business premises. The service will focus on collecting furniture and other household items. These items are to be provided to low-income households and to help people avoid getting into debt. This agreement will complement Hackney’s Community Sustainable Strategy and North London’s Waste Prevention plan.
