Framework Agreement for the Provision of a Family Support and Intervention Service for Children and Young People with Disabilities and their Families

Tender description

The aim of the Framework is to provide family support and intervention services for Children and Young People with Disabilities and their Families. The Framework shall consist of the following Lots: <b>Lot A: Care and Support</b> The Care, Support and Health Intervention Service is split into three (3) elements: Domestic Care (including Shopping), Personal Care and Personal Support. The Provider shall be aware that various tasks within each of these elements shall be required in different combinations to meet the needs of individual Service Users. The Provider shall be aware that domestic tasks are not normally included within Care Plans as they are considered the responsibility of the Service User's Parent/Carer. However, in certain cases where it is considered essential to meet the assessed needs of the Service User, some domestic tasks may, from time to time, be included. <b>Lot B: Early Intervention Care and Support</b> The Early Intervention Care and Support Service is split into two (2) elements: Service Users and Service User's Parent/Carer. The Provider shall note that the purpose of this element of the Service is to provide intensive, time-limited support to Service Users preparing for adulthood to aid their independence. Providers are permitted to submit a Tender for any one or both of the Lots as they consider appropriate for their qualifications and experience. The Authority does not guarantee any level of expenditure under the Framework and this will be dictated solely by the needs of the service. However, the Authority anticipates that the annual expenditure under each Lot will be approximately as follows: - Lot A: Care and Support - £640,000 - Lot B: Early Intervention Care and Support - £160,000<b></b>
