Provision of Digital champions network

Tender description

The Nottinghamshire Digital Champions network is required to define and launch a programme of activity to inspire a wider group of people who are most likely to use their spare time to help a friend or family member, and those who are more likely to know a member of the offline community, to help others to use the internet. <em>BACKGROUND-</em> <em> </em> <em>The Nottinghamshire Digital Champions network assignment aims to positively affect and build new local capacity to increase digital participation by raising awareness of the availability of fibre broadband and influencing others to take action. </em> <em> </em> <em>The purpose is to assist local businesses, social enterprises and the wider community & voluntary sector to better exploit the digital platform of fibre broadband that exists in the county for the purposes of economic growth and improved access to services.</em> <em> </em> <em> </em> <em>It is imperative to secure the services of an organisation that will be flexible in its approach to the work and work constructively with other members of the project team. </em> <em> </em> <em>Innovation will play a key part in ensuring the success of the project and will need to be evidenced within the response to this ITT.</em> <em> </em> <em>The assignment is of high strategic importance and politically sensitive in nature. </em> <em> </em> <em> </em> <em>During the course of 2015, there may be the opportunity to extend the scope of this project into Derbyshire</em>
