Double Glazing and Solar Panels

The National Institute of Biological Standards and Control (NIBSC) a centre of the Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency, also referred to as the 'Employer', is looking to carry out external building improvements listed in the 6 Facet Review. This also includes replacement of glazing on site with Double Glazed windows, doors & glazed screens. Incorporated in the project is the installation of Solar PV panels to south facing roofs including associated cabling, controls & required electrical equipment & certification. The Contractor is to include in the tender for the design of 1) The double glazed windows, doors and glazed screens. 2) The Solar PV panels systems. 3) The guttering replacement. 4) The scaffolding system to carry out the works. To ensure the understanding of the requirement for the services specified, there will be an opportunity to visit the site during week commencing 11th May. It is mandatory that a site visit is carried out as the successful Tenderer will be deemed to have satisfied himself as to the local conditions with regard to accessibility of the site, the full extent and nature of the works, the supply of and conditions affecting labour, toilets, carriage, unloading, tools, ladders, and anything which may influence his tender for carrying out the works.
