Tender description

The appointed contractor will provide a service for the Inspection, Maintenance and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems at Bracknell Forest Council. This will include the supply and installation of all replacement parts ( see limits to liability detailed in Appendix D - Specification). The appointed contractor will also provide an emergency call out facility. The contract will be for a maximum duration of 3 years, covering an initial period of 3 years plus an option of extending for a further 2 periods of 1 year (3+1+1=5) The original, signed, tender must be returned by no later than (12) mid-day on Tuesday 12 May 2015. By email to Tender.Box@Bracknell-Forest.gov.uk ; ensure that you include “Fire Alarm Systems Maintenance Tender” in the subject of the email. The Invitation to Tender documents can be downloaded directly from the South East Business Portal and should then be completed and returned to the Council. You MUST also specifically register interest on the South East Business Portal via the button at the top of the opportunity page in order to be kept informed of any changes or notifications regarding this process. The Council will not be held responsible for not informing any organisation who has not officially registered their interest on the South East Business Portal. The South East Business Portal is free to use for suppliers/providers and can be found on www.businessportal.southeastiep.gov.uk/; click on Opportunities, select Berkshire as a Sub Region, then select Bracknell Forest Borough Council. Finally click on the title "The Inspection, Maintenance & Testing of Fire Alarm Systems at Bracknell Forest Council Sites" *** Update 14th April 2015 - The Combined ITT document has been amended and replaced with Rev1 to read: "Section 1.2 - Outline Requirement amended to remove clause 1.22 suggesting that the successful contractor is to be responsible for all replacement parts. This contract is not intended to be fully inclusive of unspecified repairs. Any repairs that are required will be instructed upon submission of a suitable quotation as described in Appendix D clause 1.0. Appendix D clause 1.5 amended to be consistent with amendments to Section 1.2. Appendix D clause 2.5 amended to be consistent with Section 1.2 clause 1.2.4."
