Contract for Vehicle Bodywork Repair, Refurbishment, Painting and Associated Work in the London Borough of Redbridge for the period 18th May 2015 to 17th May 2020

The Council of the London Borough of Redbridge (the Authority) invites Quotations from suitably qualified and experienced organisations for the Contract for Vehicle Bodywork Repair, Refurbishment, Painting and Associated Work in the London Borough of Redbridge (the Contract). <b></b> The Contract will commence on Monday 18th May 2015 and, subject to satisfactory performance, shall continue up to and including Friday 17th May 2020 (the Contract Period). The Authority operates a fleet of 300 vehicles with a similar number of plant items; this municipal fleet of predominantly commercial (up to 26t trucks) vehicles includes passenger vehicles up to double decker's buses and 58 seat coaches in size. The Authority requires vehicle bodywork repairs and refurbishment (including associated paintwork) to vehicles and plant where the repair is not part of an insurance approved repair. The service provider may undertake repairs associated with insurance claims but this will be at the sole discretion of the Authorities Insurer and at prices agreed with them. Applicants shall be experienced in providing similar services and shall also be required, as part of their Quotation, to complete a Qualifying Questionnaire containing information about their economic and financial standing, technical ability and references and other general information. This information will be assessed to establish that the Applicant is financially viable and technically capable of undertaking a contract of this nature. Organisations shall be aware that only Quotations submitted by organisations who satisfy the criteria contained in the Qualifying Questionnaire will go on to be evaluated in accordance with the Contract Evaluation Criteria of: Price (70%) and Quality (30%) as detailed more fully in the Quotation Documents.
