Tender description

Bedfordshire CCG (BCCG) and Luton CCG (LCCG) are seeking suitably qualified service providers to engage in procurement for the clinical service entitled ‘Acquired Brain Injuries’ (ABI). It is the intention to identify and develop a number of providers within Bedfordshire, Luton and nearby localities, who meet the appropriate clinical requirements for the provision of ABI rehabilitation beds. It is expected that patients will move through different therapeutic levels of care depending on the intensity of patients rehabilitation needs. It is envisaged that rehabilitation services for individuals with an ABI will be personalised and driven by person centred goals. This individualised approach to care is not prescriptive and will be reviewed regularly according to the changing needs of the individual. Consequently BCCG plans to hold a ‘Market Awareness Provider Event’ beginning at 2pm on Wednesday 22nd April 2015, at BCCG’s headquarters located at ‘Capability House’, Wrest Park, Silsoe, Bedfordshire, MK45 4HR. BCCG and LCCG believe that market engagement is essential to inform the draft ABI service specification and to also highlight the proposed pricing mechanism for this service, as well as gaining market knowledge and informing our overall commissioning intentions. Through this market engagement event providers will be able to have the opportunity, through question and answer sessions, to articulate how they believe that their organisation can add value to the proposed ABI rehabilitation bed provision service and to comment on the approach and proposed pricing mechanism. Attain Commissioning Services acting on behalf of BCCG & LCCG and intends to use an e-tendering system in this procurement.
